Fulham set to return Micheal Jackson's statue to former owner

Fulham are to return the controversial statue of late pop star Michael Jackson to the club's former owner Mohamed Al Fayed.

The statue of the King of Pop, dressed in a sliver jacket, black trousers, white socks and with iconic glove was erected at the back of the Hammersmith Stand of the Premier League club in 2011.
Many fans were baffled by the move and some took to Twitter to complain, but Al Fayed claimed that Jackson was also a supporter of the club and said anyone who didn't like it could "go to hell".
However, the statue does not figure in the redevelopment plans of new owner Shahid Khan, who bought the club for £150m before the start of the season, so it will be heading back to the ex-Harrods owner.
"The statue is not part of the Riverside development of the stadium and will be returned to the former chairman in due course," confirmed Fulham.
