Casillas received IFFHS World’s Best Goalkeeper award for 2012

The Real Madrid captain was presented with the award before Spain’s friendly against Chile
Iker Casillas was awarded the World’s Best Goalkeeper award for 2012 by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics before he played in Spain’s friendly match against Chile in Geneva. It is the fifth time that the Real Madrid captain has been recognised with this award, having won it in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Casillas is the goalkeeper who has won the award the most, ahead of Italian Walter Zenga, who won it in 1989, 1990 and 1991.
